I’ve always been sceptical to try out the cheaper makeup brands for foundation, mainly because I worry that they won’t give as good coverage or last as long but Rimmel Match Perfect Foundation has completely changed my mind. A few weeks ago I wrote about Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer which I am still loving and using, since then I decided to buy some Rimmel foundation to wear in the day time rather than wasting my (rather expensive) Diorskin Forever foundation. Quite a few of you have probably started back at university so I’ve decided to talk you through a makeup look perfect for a lecture. If you’re anything like me a 9 o’clock start is such a killer, especially if you’ve been out late the night before, so the longer you can stay in bed, the better. I tend to wear minimal makeup in the day, mainly because I don’t have the time to spend in the morning, but I do try to make it look like I have made some effort with this quick and simple makeup routine.
Having always used and loved Benefit Boi-ing concealer as part of my everyday makeup look, I was sceptical to try out a new one, but with little funds I needed to find a cheaper alternative without compromising on quality. As brilliant as the coverage is with Boi-ing, it is quite thick and can sometimes dry out your skin, especially when it starts to get cold, so I also wanted a slightly runnier concealer.
Whilst browsing the makeup in Boots I came across the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer and decided to give it go. According to Rimmel it is the ‘first full coverage concealer that visibly reawakens and illuminates under the eyes’ and it does just that!
I bought this in Ivory and it is a perfect match to my (pale) skin, but it is available to buy in True Ivory, Classic Beige and Soft Beige aswell. It sits nicely on top of foundation but I would say that you don’t need to apply too much of it as it can make your skin quite dewy. The applicator makes this really easy to apply and I found it best to blend using my fingers rather than a concealer brush as it makes it longer lasting. The only downfall is that it doesn’t have a great coverage on blemishes so if you do have spot prone skin I would maybe suggest getting a slightly thicker concealer.
That said, for £5.49 I think it’s a great, well priced concealer to add to your makeup collection. What do you think of Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer?

I’ve seen quite a few posts about makeup people use on a daily basis and seeing as I love reading them, I thought I would do my own. I own lots of different makeup brands that I like to use certain items from. Every once in a while I mix things up a bit as I get bored of certain products and like to try out new ones. In the summer I like to go for a natural look using a browny/gold palette on my eyes and a nude lipstick.
